The Genesis of Next-Generation AI Security.
Mountain Theory began as a bold idea born out of necessity in a rapidly evolving digital world. This idea was planted when co-founders Mike May and Shaun Cuttill witnessed firsthand the vulnerability of AI systems as they became increasingly integral to industries ranging from healthcare to finance to national security. Mike, a seasoned leader in mergers and acquisitions with a deep background in cybersecurity, saw the writing on the wall. The rise of artificial intelligence was transforming businesses and entire economies, but it also posed unprecedented security risks. The more sophisticated AI systems became, the more they were being targeted by malicious actors—threatening data and the integrity of the systems themselves.
Meanwhile, Shaun, an entrepreneur, inventor, investor, and pioneer in multi-factor authentication with extensive experience, including confidential government work, understood the critical need for a solution that could secure the future of AI. He had already seen the consequences of compromised identity systems and knew something more advanced, adaptive, and autonomous was necessary to protect the rapidly expanding digital landscape. Together, they began sketching a framework that would go beyond the reactive cybersecurity solutions of the past. They envisioned a system where AI could autonomously defend itself, detecting threats in real-time, learning from every incident, and responding proactively to safeguard data and operations. But it wasn’t enough to create a defensive system. Mike and Shaun knew that AI needed governance.
Mountain Theory’s mission became clear: to secure the future of AI by creating a proactive, autonomous AI security solution that could protect businesses and governments from the growing threats posed by malicious actors and rogue AI systems. And so, they began to build. Its innovative security framework and vision for the future sets us apart. As AI continues to evolve, so too must its protection. Our AI security system is designed not just for today but for the challenges of tomorrow—ensuring that as AI becomes more aware, capable, and integrated into our lives, it remains secure, ethical, and under control.
We stand ready to revolutionize AI security. With a patent pending on its Autonomous AI Security with the Separation of Powers framework, the company is poised to become the go-to solution for businesses and governments that recognize the importance of safeguarding their AI systems and ensuring that the future of AI is as secure as it is innovative.
